Job summary

Ontic in Creedmoor, NC, is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Cost Estimator to join the Revenue Management team on-site. The role partners across Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Revenue Management to develop cost estimates, evaluate suppliers, and identify cost-reduction opportunities.

A BA/BS in a related field and 2–3+ years of sourcing experience are required. The candidate will lead RFQ activity, develop should-cost estimates, and support supplier negotiations with market data

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, Operations or related field.
• 2-3+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or a related function.
• Experience developing sourcing strategies and RFQ activity.
• Experience with supplier pricing, lead times, tooling, and cost reduction.
• Ability to read BOMs and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong Excel skills for supplier comparisons and scenario analysis.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and market intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain material and product cost estimates using supplier data and BOMs.
• Lead RFQ activity for materials, components, and services.
• Evaluate supplier quotations for competitiveness and cost reasonableness.
• Develop should-cost estimates and historical benchmarks for negotiations.
• Collaborate with Global Sourcing and Supply Chain leadership on supplier strategy.
• Provide cost models and escalation assumptions for long-term pricing.
• Support negotiations with data-driven targets and market data.
• Provide sourcing insights to support quotes and contracts.
