Job summary

Analytical Mechanics Associates (AMA) seeks multiple Software Engineers to work on a NASA Ames Research Center project (NAMS-2) in Mountain View, CA. Roles demand development of AI/ML applications, full-stack solutions, and cloud-based services under guidance from senior engineers.

You will build frontend and backend components, deploy cloud-native apps, and design RESTful APIs while following secure coding, CI/CD, and Agile practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, AI, IT, or related STEM field.
• 0–3 years of professional software engineering, AI/ML, cloud computing, or related field.
• Experience programming in Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, or C#.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software principles.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies: HTML, CSS, JS, and frameworks like React/Angular/Vue.
• Familiarity with backend development concepts, REST APIs, databases, and server-side programming.
• Cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure/GCP preferred.
• Experience with Git and collaborative software development.
• Understanding Agile and DevOps is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to obtain government security clearance if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for AI/ML applications, full-stack software solutions, and cloud services.
• Develop frontend and backend components using modern languages, frameworks, and best practices.
• Assist in deploying and maintaining cloud infrastructure for scalable, secure apps.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement features and integrate components.
• Participate in all SDLC phases including requirements, design, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Prepare documentation, status reports, and demonstrations for project reviews.
