Hytek Finishes seeks an Aerospace Shot Peen Inspector for the 3rd shift in Kent, WA. This entry-level role trains on 1st shift, with on-site work and full benefits. Expect to learn to peen and inspect parts per spec, and to pass certification exams while joining the FAA DOT testing program.

Hytek production is open 24 hours per day. Normal Shifts are as follows: 1st shift (Monday – Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.), 2nd shift (Monday – Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.), 3rd shift (Sunday – Friday, 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.)

Salary Range for position: $ 22.10 – 31.10. The pay range and total compensation package listed above is the expected pay offered for this position at the start of employment. Your pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to your relevant experience level, and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other employees. Employees in this position shot peen and glass bead peen parts, including automated, manual and I.D. peening and inspection in preparation for plating and other coatings. The individual in this role will be considered a trainee and are required to pass a written and practical examination for certification and an initial and annual Industrial Eye Exam in order to process work independently in the department. On the job training is provided and trainees are given ample time to prepare for certification exams. Shot Peen Inspectors are required to join the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program*. The Shot Peen Inspectors perform operations in accordance with Military, Industry and OEM specifications.
* FAA DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program requires an initial pre-employment drug test including a screen for THC, subject to quarterly Drug & BAT testing.
