Job summary

RAM Aerospace in St. George, Utah, is seeking a Shop Inspection Supervisor to lead the team responsible for ensuring every component meets drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements throughout production.

You will oversee first article verifications, in-process checks, CMM inspections, and GD&T interpretation, while building a skilled team and collaborating with Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Engineering to resolve issues before they impact delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with significant experience in shop inspection, quality control, or manufacturing, including demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
• Demonstrated experience with CMM operation and programming, or strong aptitude to develop this capability.
• Solid background in precision measurement and inspection techniques.
• Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Shop Inspection team and assign work based on workload, priorities, and qualifications; support hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee visual, dimensional, mechanical, first article, in-process, and CMM inspection activities, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Oversee CMM programming development and coordinate inspection priorities based on production and commitments.
• Identify opportunities to improve inspection efficiency, accuracy, and capacity, and implement corrective actions.
• Communicate priorities and quality impacts across departments and support audits.
