Job summary

Westmoreland Mechanical Testing & Research, Inc. is seeking a dependable Shipping & Receiving Clerk to ensure accurate inbound and outbound materials processing and documentation.

You will verify materials, prepare shipments with major carriers, and maintain records to support laboratory testing schedules. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and previous shipping/receiving experience, with strong attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Citizenship required for national defense and aerospace compliance.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with shipping/receiving and carriers preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic tracking systems.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Shipping & Receiving: Inspect and process incoming shipments, verify materials against packing lists and docs.
• Shipment Coordination: Prepare and process outgoing shipments with carriers like UPS and FedEx.
• Inventory & Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate records of materials, shipments, and docs.
• Documentation: Prepare, review, and modify shipping docs and production sheets per orders.
• Problem Resolution: Identify discrepancies and communicate with vendors to resolve issues.
• Shipment Tracking: Monitor deliveries and update stakeholders on status.
• Operational Support: Coordinate with teams to ensure materials and docs support testing schedules.
• Workplace Organization: Keep shipping/receiving area clean and safe.
• Continuous Improvement: Help improve accuracy, efficiency, and workflow.
