Job summary

Sonaca North America in Washington, MO is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to verify and record outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment. You will compare information against bills of lading and orders, ensuring accuracy and quality.

The role requires movement of parts, packaging to specs, and operation of printers and forklifts, with cross-training for flexibility in a dynamic plant setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ years of related shipping/receiving experience preferred.
• Must be able to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Must be very well organized.
• Must be a self-motivated individual.
• Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Reference customer specifications and QAPs in job duties.
• Move parts from production to shipping areas.
• Read work orders, verify counts and approvals.
• Examine parts for defects.
• Set up part mark information per specifications using computer.
• Operate ink printer for part-marking.
• Package parts per customer and quality specs.
• Move packaged parts to shipping area and crates.
• Load parts into wooden crates and transport to local customers.
• Cross-train and assist in other areas as needed.
• Determine shipment method using routes and rates.
• Affix shipping labels per specifications.
• Assemble containers and place items with padding.
• Inspect outgoing shipments for spec conformance.
