Blue Origin is seeking a Shift Leader to guide a team of test technicians in aerospace manufacturing operations. You will set direction, hire and develop staff, manage performance, and drive continuous improvement across shift B, C and D.

You will ensure readiness for production, maintain schedules, and support HR and recruiting efforts in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment. The role emphasizes leadership, process discipline (5S/Lean), and hands-on use of precision tools to meet

Qualifications

• 1+ years of supervisory experience.
• 3+ years of aerospace manufacturing operations.
• Root cause and corrective action analysis experience.
• Understand the department KPI metrics and performance.
• Strong communication skills with a heavy customer focus.
• Continuous improvement mindset.
• Clear understanding of production versus development environments.
• Fluent with precision hand tools.
• Familiar with personal computers.
• Self-motivation and ability to prioritize projects to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise GS1 Mid/Final Integration Technicians in day-to-day operations.
• Conduct performance reviews.
• Support recruiting efforts (technical screens and panel interviews).
• Establish workstation assignments, training, overtime, and back-up for absentees.
• Maintain and communicate work center schedule to meet customer expectations.
• Provide first-level HR escalation support (employee relations, PTO, etc.).
• Identify Continuous Improvement opportunities and implement changes.
• Maintain 5S, Lean, Cleaning and Safety programs.
• Ensure adherence to work instructions, quality requirements and processes.
• Record technician staff data (clock-in/clock-out).
• Provide training and career development for team members.
• Ensure start-up readiness for production and safe operation.
