Job summary

Ducommun, Inc. in Orange, CA is seeking a Bench Mechanic to read and interpret blueprints, lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal parts. You will perform deburring, remove burrs, and create smooth edges while following safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Read and understand blueprints, shop drawings, and mill templates.
• Able to communicate in simple written and verbal form.
• Strong math skills for tolerances and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, or product specs to determine fabrication methods.
• Performs all deburring operations and removes burrs and sharp edges.
• Operates burring equipment and uses measuring tools to achieve tight tolerances.
• Handles and manages hazardous waste per policy.
• Leads projects and participates in project committees as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
