Axiom Space seeks a Sewing Technician to fabricate, assemble, and repair soft-goods for aerospace applications. You will operate a range of industrial sewing machines and read fabrication drawings to ensure tight tolerances in every part.

Candidate must have a high school diploma and 3+ years in aerospace sewing or equivalent, with ability to work evenings/weekends to meet milestones. The role involves strict safety procedures and production targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years sewing/softgood manufacturing, preferably in aerospace.
• Proficient in industrial sewing machines: Straight Stitch, Walking Foot, Bartack, Buttonhole, 3 Thread Rolled Hem Serger.
• Proficient in reading soft-goods fabrication & assembly drawings.
• Proficient in fabrication of soft-goods patterns.
• Ability to sew materials to very tight tolerances and cut materials per specs.

Responsabilités

• Sew materials by hand and/or machine to join, gather, reinforce, or decorate with tight tolerances.
• Cut materials according to specs and trim excess material or thread.
• Measure finished articles to verify conformance to standards.
• Monitor sewing operation to detect defects and issues.
• Maintain and adjust sewing equipment; replace needles and clean/oil machines.
• Record materials processed in production logs; ensure quality per drawings.
