Job summary

Belcan seeks a Senior Quality Engineer for its aerospace manufacturing plant in Bethel, CT. The role involves implementing quality standards across production, supplier interaction, and process improvement to meet aerospace specifications.

You will analyze data, manage internal and supplier audits, and coordinate with FAA/DCMA agencies as needed. A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in manufacturing or engineering are required, with ITAR compliance and US work eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in manufacturing or engineering.
• Ability to read technical data and specifications.
• Knowledge of statistics and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct quality standards for processing materials into product.
• Develop and initiate methods and procedures for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
• Interface with suppliers and external customers to resolve product issues.
• Devise procedures, forms, methods for recording and evaluating quality data.
• Develop and implement methods and procedures to disposition and assess cost of discrepant material.
• Provide quality technical assistance to internal and external customers and suppliers.
• Work with employees engaged in measuring and testing product and recording quality and reliability data.
• Compile and generate training material and conduct training sessions on quality activities.
• Conduct Supplier control activities including purchase order review and corrective action responses from suppliers.
• Act as liaison with customers and governmental agencies, such as the FAA and DCMA.
• Participate in internal and external control and review activities such as internal audits & product audits including customer reviews.
• Respond to customer requests for information and coordinate activities of FAA certified Repair Station.
• Additional duties as assigned.
