Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) in San Leandro is hiring a Sandblaster to clean metal castings and ensure paperwork matches parts. The role requires following safety procedures, performing visual and dimensional inspections, and operating blast equipment with proper material handling.

Employees will load, tends and use chemical cleaning methods when trained, maintain equipment safety, and participate in standard quality control processes to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to use simple to moderately complex measuring devices and fixtures.

Responsibilities

• Follow established housekeeping and safety practices to maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspection of castings per part grade levels using measuring devices.
• Load blast material of proper size and type in all machines.
• May load, tend and use caustic and/or acid dip after proper training for cleaning.
• Maintain equipment in a safe manner and log operations and inventory.
