Job summary

X-Bow Systems is seeking a Safety Specialist to lead safety management at the Stennis Space Center facility. You will conduct audits, develop programs, oversee PSM activities, and drive training and incident investigations to maintain a safe work environment.

The role requires a strong background in industrial hygiene, air monitoring, and regulatory compliance, with 5+ years in manufacturing or aerospace settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Health, Safety Management, or related field.
• Master’s degree in Occupational Health or Industrial Hygiene preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, and document internal safety audits to ensure OSHA compliance.
• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs including industrial hygiene, hazard communication, respiratory protection, and ergonomics.
• Oversee PSM activities including change control, hot work permits, and contractor safety oversight.
• Design and deliver safety training on confined space, LOTO, PPE, and fire safety with timely completion tracking.
• Conduct Job Hazard Analyses to identify risks and implement controls.
• Lead root cause investigations for injuries using 5 Whys and ensure corrective actions.
• Perform air monitoring and noise surveys; recommend engineering or administrative controls.
• Maintain OSHA records including OSHA 300 logs and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Act as safety advocate and drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with management, engineering, and operations to address safety concerns.
