Job summary

RTX is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in the Airborne Radar Electronics Design Department to support VHDL-based firmware development and hardware integration for advanced airborne radar systems. Depending on assignments, this role may involve supporting FPGA development, digital design verification, radar hardware integration, and system-level troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical or related STEM field and actively enrolled through the internship/co‑op session
• Minimum 60 hours of credit by start of internship/co‑op session
• Experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, signal generators, and power supplies

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with design, testing, and validation activities
• Support lab work, including measurements, test setups, and documentation
• Contribute to electrical engineering project tasks as assigned
• Participate in team meetings, reviews, and technical discussions
• Maintain accurate records and follow established engineering procedures
