Job summary

WENCOR in Temecula, CA seeks a Repairs Engineer to oversee the development, documentation, and deployment of FAA / Operator approved repair parts and procedures. You will manage multiple reverse engineering projects and prepare data packages for FAA and customer approvals.

Responsibilities include creating 3D CAD models, performing material analyses, coordinating vendor quotes, and ensuring compliance with safety rules and industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience developing and submitting FAA-approved repair parts and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions and customer specs.
  • Experience with reverse engineering and 3D CAD data reporting.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and vendor quote processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develops repairs for aerospace components (PMA, DER, ERP, OOP).
  • Develops and applies creative solutions to engineering, technology, supply chain, communication, and process flow.
  • Uses measurement tools to gather dimensional data (micrometer, caliper, gage, CMM).
  • Performs or determines material composition/analysis requirements.
  • Creates 3D CAD models and dimensional data reports from reverse engineering data.
  • Prepares procedures for test equipment and test plans; assists with test equipment development.
  • Sources vendors; organizes quotes and quotes data.
  • Manages multiple reverse engineering projects simultaneously.
  • Creates drawings, reports, and data packages for FAA and Customer approvals.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
