Job summary

CFD Research Corporation in the United States is seeking a Systems Reliability Engineer to advance reliability maturation for a complex aerospace and defense hardware system. You will maintain the reliability framework, lead FMEA/FMECA activities, and work with design, test, and manufacturing teams.

This role requires a degree in engineering, 3+ years in reliability, and experience with quantitative reliability models.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in reliability engineering, systems engineering, mechanical, electrical, aerospace, chemical engineering or related field.
3+ years of reliability engineering, failure analysis, hardware development or similar activity.
Experience developing/maintaining quantitative reliability prediction models for complex hardware systems.
Experience developing/maintaining FMEA, FMECA, fault-tree analyses or similar reliability products.
Ability to work with component-level reliability information, configurations, operating environments, and failure-rate data to maintain reliability predictions.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and mature the system reliability prediction model using Windchill.
Maintain consistency between reliability model and system configuration.
Update reliability predictions as designs mature and changes occur.
Develop and maintain reliability allocations and predictions at multiple levels.
Identify significant reliability drivers and margin gaps.
Collaborate with design engineers to obtain data and operating conditions.
