Job summary

Qualifications

• Current NDT Level II certification in Radiography NAS 410 and ASNT SNT-TC-1A.
• 5+ years of radiographic inspection experience in aerospace manufacturing or repair.
• Expertise in weld evaluation, discontinuities, and radiographic interpretation.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace materials, welding processes, and discontinuities.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
• Knowledge of radiation safety regulations and safe operating procedures.
• Strong documentation, communication, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret radiographic inspections on welded aerospace components.
• Serve as Level III authority for RT, overseeing Level I and II NDT personnel.
• Develop, authorize, and maintain NDT procedures and work instructions.
• Review weld quality, evaluate discontinuities, and determine product acceptance.
• Lead and manage certification, training, and evaluations for NDT personnel.
• Ensure all inspection activities comply with radiation safety protocols and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve weld issues.
• Support MRB activities, root-cause investigations, and corrective action planning.
• Maintain all NDT records, film, digital archives, and calibration data.
• Interface with customers, auditors, and regulatory bodies during assessments.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for weld quality and equipment capability.
