Job summary

Parker Hannifin's Gas Turbine Fuel Systems Division is seeking an R&D Engineering Intern for Spring through Summer 2027 in Mentor, OH. You will support electronics, data acquisition, hydraulics, and testing while working with seasoned engineers to enhance lab capabilities on aerospace testing projects.

You will implement calibration, operate fabrication equipment, and present project data in detailed reports, while maintaining safety and contributing to a zero-incident culture.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in mechanical, aerospace, or electrical engineering, with at least two years of coursework completed.
• Graduate students are encouraged to apply.
• Hands-on fabrication and soldering/wiring experience is required.
• Strong communication skills for presenting to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the R&D Lab team under guidance from senior engineers on active projects.
• Operate fabrication equipment and calibration tools.
• Assist in upgrading hydraulic test stands and automation systems.
• Wire, calibrate, and troubleshoot sensors for aerospace testing.
• Lead calibration efforts for lab and production test stands.
• Contribute to a high-performance team environment and project documentation.
