Parker Hannifin's In Motion Systems Group and Hydraulic Valve Systems Division invites students to join as an R&D Lab Engineering Intern in Elyria, Ohio, on-site for a summer 2027 start. You will assist in setting up lab tests, calibrate equipment, and analyze data to support product validation.

Qualifications

Familiarity with CAD software, basic electrical troubleshooting, and programming tools (PLC, LabVIEW, Python).
Strong interest in engineering with a focus on R&D or mechanical/electrical systems.
Basic understanding of lab equipment and testing methodologies; prior lab experience is a plus.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics (hydraulic and electrical).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good verbal and written communication for effective collaboration.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn and apply new techniques.

Responsibilities

Assist in setting up and executing lab tests to validate new and existing products.
Help maintain and calibrate lab equipment for accurate results.
Collect and analyze test data; prepare reports summarizing findings.
Maintain organized records of testing activities.
Support inspections using metrological equipment.
Assist in specifying parts and materials for test setups.
Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
Perform other tasks to support R&D projects.
