Job summary

ABSL Space Products, a division of EnerSys Advanced Systems, located in Longmont, CO, seeks a full-time Quality Technician to perform inspections on manufacturing and test processes for space-grade batteries.

You will conduct quality control inspections to aerospace standards, support QMS compliance, and verify material traceability while working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma w/ 0-2 years’ quality inspector experience or an associates degree.
• Ability to work in a team atmosphere.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. in accordance with OSHA requirements.
• Attention to detail and ability interpret engineering drawings and procedures.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to support off-site processes.
• Ability and experience utilizing magnification aids to perform inspection tasks.
• Ability to obtain IPC J-STD-001, IPC/WHMA-A-620, NASA-STD-8739.1 through company training.
• Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Reports to Quality Technician Supervisor.
• Performs quality control inspection of hardware to aerospace standards, drawings and work instructions.
• Performs QMS systems checks to ensure compliance with documented facility procedures.
• Performs peer checks for manufacturing and test technicians.
• Performs material kit checks to verify correct materials and material traceability.
• Ensures all build and test documentation is completed correctly.
• Ensures all necessary paperwork and processes are completed following a non-conformance incident to allow build to continue.
• Performs incoming inspection of all purchased parts and associated paperwork.
• Other duties as assigned by Quality Manager or Quality Inspection Supervisor
