Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics seeks a Quality Technician in Chandler, AZ to inspect, audit, and improve manufacturing processes. You will learn and apply measurement techniques, support source inspections, and assist with FAIRs and DMIR activities.

The role requires 1–7 years in manufacturing, familiarity with inspection tools, and a high school diploma or equivalent; ITAR considerations apply and safety procedures must be followed. This is an onsite, full-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical measurement tools or ability to learn.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate products and processes per engineering drawings, samples, inspection requirements, process specs and procedures to verify compliance.
• Obtain certification for and perform customer DQR source inspection and FAA DMIR activities.
• Receive training to conduct CMM programming and back up duties for inspection.
• Assist in preparation, review and approval of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
• Perform internal audits to ensure compliance with internal and customer guidelines; develop audit checklists.
• Evaluate products for defects and ensure proper assembly, finish, and labeling; identify nonconformances.
• Observe work in process and ensure compliance with process specs and internal requirements.
• Prepare NCRs or corrective actions as needed; debrief management on findings and recommended solutions.
