Mason in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Quality System Engineer to develop, maintain, and improve the QMS for AS9100/ISO 9001 compliance. You will lead document control, training records, internal audits, and corrective actions while partnering with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations.

The role requires 3–5 years in aerospace quality systems plus strong knowledge of QMS standards and audit processes.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline; equivalent education and experience considered.
• 3–5 years aerospace quality systems, quality assurance, or quality engineering in AS9100 environments.
• Knowledge of AS9100D, ISO 9001, and customer-specific aerospace quality requirements.
• Experience administering QMS documentation, control, revision management, and quality record retention.
• Experience training matrices, competency requirements, and training records.
• Experience planning internal QMS/process audits and supporting external audits.
• Knowledge of root cause and corrective action methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).
• Ability to interpret standards and translate them into practical processes.
• Experience tracking corrective actions and audit findings through closure.

Mansioni

• Maintain and improve the QMS to ensure AS9100/ISO 9001 and customer/regulatory compliance.
• Develop, revise, and control QMS procedures, work instructions, forms, and quality records.
• Coordinate corrective improvements with process owners and track through closure.
• Administer document change, revision, approval, distribution, and retention controls.
• Develop and maintain company-wide training and competency matrices aligned with job functions.
• Coordinate training with managers; monitor completion and verify effectiveness.
• Lead annual internal audit program and supplier/internal audits; report findings.
• Prepare for external audits including AS9100 registrar, customer, DCMA.
• Maintain centralized audit-finding and corrective-action tracking and follow-up.
• Support RCCA, corrective actions, and verification of effectiveness for systemic nonconformities.
• Identify recurring findings and compliance risks; escalate as needed.
• Ensure customer-specific quality requirements are identified and incorporated.
• Collect and analyze QMS metrics and prepare leadership reports.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to standardize processes.
