Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Quality Manager for aerospace, space and defense manufacturing in Long Beach, CA. You will lead the quality function for pressure vessels, COPV, and propulsion hardware, ensuring conformance to AS9100 and customer requirements.

This role involves MRB disposition, CAPA leadership using 5-Why and 8D, establishing inspection plans, leading FMEA and SPC, and driving quality metrics across programs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of quality experience in aerospace manufacturing
• Experience with pressure vessels, COPV, or propulsion hardware
• Bachelor's degree preferred; CQE preferred
• Knowledge of machining, heat-treat, welding, and NDT
• Lean/process improvement experience required
• Familiarity with regulatory agencies and OEMs

Responsibilities

• Lead the quality function for pressure vessels, COPV tanks, and propulsion hardware, ensuring AS9100 and regulatory conformance
• Serve as Material Review Board member and disposition nonconforming hardware
• Drive CAPA using 5-Why, fishbone, and 8D methodologies
• Establish inspection requirements and process controls; develop customer inspection plans
• Lead FMEAs and SPC to support KPIs and QMS compliance
