Job summary

CIRCOR Aerospace & Defense in Corona, CA is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to lead quality initiatives across new product development, lean improvements, and process capability. You will interpret engineering drawings and specifications, manage CAPA and PFMEA, and support NPI activities.

Responsibilities include reviewing FAI per AS9102, coordinating with suppliers and customers, and driving continual quality improvements using Six Sigma and lean methods to reduce scrap and rework

Qualifications

• 8+ years of aerospace quality and manufacturing experience.
• GD&T knowledge and blueprint reading.
• Familiar with FAA Repair Station regulations.
• Strong problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Experience with Six Sigma tools (green belt or black belt a plus).
• Lean manufacturing practices to improve quality and reduce cost.

Responsibilities

• Interface with customer Quality representatives on quality issues and CAPA.
• Drive process capability improvements and SPC implementation.
• Lead problem-solving teams for root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Review First Article Inspection reports per AS9102.
• Support supplier quality development and audits.
• Manage major program manufacturing process qualification and NPIs.
• Develop quality plans and inspection methodologies.
• Coordinate procedures and validation of improvements.
