Job summary

Barnes Aerospace is seeking a Lead Inspector to support quality activities, verify inspections, and determine hardware condition per technical documentation. You will be a key member of the inspection team ensuring compliance with FAA requirements and company standards.

The role requires strong attention to detail, good communication, and experience with inspection records, CMMs, and blueprints. This position operates in a high-paced environment with safety responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related experience, preferably aerospace.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• FAA Certified Repairman or Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic desirable.
• Proficiency with measuring instruments (micrometers, verniers, gauges).
• Reading and interpreting complex blueprints and technical docs.
• Experience with CMM operation and programming is a differentiator.
• Good mathematical skills.
• Knowledge of FAA, CAAC and EASA regulations.
• Strong communication and teaching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure inspections are properly performed on all completed work.
• Verify inspection records, reports, and forms prior to release.
• Collaborate to improve quality processes and standards.
• Participate in professional forums on issue resolution.
• Recommend workflow changes to improve efficiency and quality while reducing cost.
• Support a fast-paced manufacturing and office environment.
• Communicate clearly to all levels of staff.
