Job summary

Actalent is hiring a Quality Lab Technician in Lancaster, CA. This onsite role involves performing tests, sample prep, and maintaining lab cleanliness per certified procedures. Two shifts are available: 6:00 am–4:30 pm and 4:30 pm–2:30 am, with contract-to-hire potential.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, blueprint reading, and aerospace experience or fastener familiarity. Calipers and micrometers are used to verify specs in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in engineering and customer requirement blueprint reading.
• Microscope inspection experience.
• Aerospace experience or aerospace fastener experience is a plus.
• Ability to test for cross-section, grain, flow of threads, head reading, and hardness.
• Basic reading skills in English for work orders and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests on products using trained equipment.
• Read and understand procedures, routing sheets, and required documentation.
• Follow procedures to maintain quality of work.
• Process paperwork with complete routing sheets and correct lot numbers.
• Use calipers and micrometers to verify specifications.
• Maintain a positive attitude and seek training opportunities.
