Job summary

LTA Research & Exploration is seeking a Quality Technician to inspect aerospace components, perform audits, and ensure compliance with engineering specifications and industry standards. The role requires reading drawings (GD&T), using precision measurement tools, and adhering to strict safety and quality procedures.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in quality inspection, knowledge of AS9100/ISO, and familiarity with FAA regulations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Aerospace/Mechanical/Manufacturing or equivalent
• 2+ years of quality inspection experience in aerospace or regulated industries
• Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO quality systems
• Familiarity with FAA regulatory requirements
• Ability to read/interpet drawings including GD&T
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools
• Experience with FAI, in-process, and final inspections
• NDT basics a plus
• Strong documentation and CAPA/root-cash skills
• Read electrical schematics/wiring diagrams and avionics basics
• Capable of independent and collaborative work
• Ability to lift and perform in confined spaces
• Personal transportation required

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on aerospace components
• Support investigations using RCA and CAPA
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to resolve quality issues
• Monitor production processes for quality adherence and improvement
• Maintain organized inspection area with safety compliance
• Initiate NCRs with detailed discrepancies linked to drawings and specs
• Work onsite with cross-functional teams
• Document inspection results and maintain traceability
