You will also document results, verify process compliance, and assist junior inspectors while maintaining a safe work environment and orderly records. A strong background in inspection and shop math is required.

Qualifications

• Vocational training or similar; basic shop math to read data from drawings and specs.
• Basic knowledge of shop routines and practices.
• Basic PC knowledge including operating systems and file management.

Responsibilities

• Inspect bonded assemblies, parts and details using blueprints and specs.
• Use precision measuring instruments to perform quality tasks.
• Approve or reject assemblies that meet or do not meet specifications.
• Maintain documentation and records of inspections.
• Monitor adherence to safety and procedure requirements.
• Instruct and assist lower classified inspectors as needed.
