Qualifications

• Knowledge of shop routines and practices.
• Basic PC skills and familiarity with operating systems and file management.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; candidates with GED encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Maintain adherence to specifications and follow procedures.
• Read engineering drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing instructions.
• Inspect for proper installations and integrity of assemblies/parts.
• Use precision measuring instruments for quality tasks.
• Approve or reject assemblies that meet or do not meet specs.
• Perform surveillance inspections of process areas for compliance.
• Read withholding tags and standard specifications and repair manuals.
• Maintain documentation and records.
• Follow safety and department procedures; report malfunctions or damages.
• Assist and guide lower classified inspectors with related duties.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• May perform other related duties as assigned.
