Job summary

Relativity Space in Mississippi (Stennis) seeks a hands-on inspector to perform in‑process and final inspections of propulsion components, stage assemblies, and flight hardware using precision tools, CAD models, drawings, and work orders.

You will review hardware requirements, document pass/fail outcomes, and provide technical guidance while collaborating with Test Operations, Manufacturing and Hardware Responsible Engineering to meet objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience working in Aerospace and/or Aviation.
• Experience with in-process build inspections, precision inspection techniques, and precision inspection tooling.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions while providing technical guidance utilizing internal and external work standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversight: conduct thorough in-process and final inspections of propulsion components, stage assemblies, and integrated flight hardware using precision tools, CAD model, drawings, process specifications, and/or work order requirements.
• Processes: diligently review all hardware requirements and determine pass/fail status, documenting outcomes and any non-conformances or deviations found.
• Mentorship: provide technical guidance throughout in-process work ensuring company and industry standards are met.
• Collaboration: develop strong working relationships with Test Operations, Manufacturing, and Hardware Responsible Engineering teams to ensure all company objectives can be met.
• Analysis: perform various inspections to identify issues and assist with root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Additional responsibilities include performing FOD inspections, documenting hardware status, and performing walk-down inspections on engine and stage assemblies.
