Job summary

Belcan is seeking a meticulous Quality Inspector for our aerospace production team in San Diego. You will perform incoming and outgoing inspections on components and assemblies for small gas turbine engines, using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.

Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation are essential. You will apply metrology principles, calibrate inspection equipment, and ensure compliance with aerospace regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification in a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in quality inspection, particularly in aerospace.
• Knowledge of metrology and measurement tools.
• Familiarity with aerospace regulations and standards (e.g., AS9100, FAA).
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Good communication and collaboration across teams.
• Problem-solving and timely decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Receiving Inspection: inspect incoming parts to verify conformance to specs and PO requirements.
• Outgoing Inspection: perform final inspections before shipment and verify certificates and test reports.
• Metrology: apply measurement principles and calibrate inspection equipment.
• Compliance: ensure inspections meet aerospace standards and regulations.
• Participate in continuous improvement to enhance inspection processes and documentation.
