Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics in Auburn, CA is seeking a Quality Inspector to identify workmanship issues and verify assemblies by visual and measured inspections. You will read blueprints, assess tolerances, and determine acceptance or rework to ensure conformance with specifications.

Responsibilities include using micrometers, dial gauges, calipers and a CMM, entering results into systems, and collaborating with Production Control and Quality teams.

Qualifications

• Five years' experience as a Quality Inspector or Operator in manufacturing environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to interpret drawings and part specifications; use micrometers, dial-bore gauges, calipers, thread gauges, height gauges, dial indicators; operate a CMM with pre-made programs; and possess general PC skills including Word, Excel and Oracle.
• Team-oriented with ability to interface with Production Control, Manufacturing, Quality Engineers and others.
• High School diploma or equivalent; US person per ITAR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Identify problems with workmanship or process damage and determine acceptance or rework.
• Conduct visual inspections with high accuracy to verify physical properties.
• Ensure build and test manufacturing processes are completed.
• Proactively communicate errors and systemic trends to quality.
• Enter data into software tools and maintain records.
