Job summary

BARNES is seeking an Inspector to perform comprehensive inspection activities on aerospace articles, including preliminary, in-process, and final inspections to ensure airworthiness. The role requires reading blueprints, applying geometric tolerancing, and maintaining meticulous documentation.

Ideal candidates have a strong manufacturing background, familiarity with 14CFR 145 regulations, and can multitask in a fast-paced setting. Strong English skills and team-oriented mindset are essential.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints or technical procedures.
Must have working knowledge of geometric tolerancing, gages, micrometers, borescopes and other measuring tools.
Strong manufacturing background and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Familiar with 14CFR 145 regulations and inspection methods for determining airworthiness.
Understand, read, and write English.
Team player with ability to work with people at all levels in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Perform preliminary inspection of all articles and inspect those involved in accidents for hidden damage.
Perform final inspection and return to service of maintained articles.
Ensure article is listed on a current capability list and take corrective action on deficiencies.
Ensure maintenance personnel follow quality control system and tool calibration.
Inspect using visual and dimensional methods with required gauges and measuring equipment.
Interpret operation sheets and blueprints to meet customer specifications.
Complete required paperwork when parts are defective or require re-work.
Ensure compliance with MB Aerospace internal and applicable regulations.
