Job summary

Heads Up Technologies is seeking an Aerospace Quality Inspector to ensure components and processes meet regulatory, customer, and internal quality standards. You will review documentation, perform detailed inspections, and support airworthiness through compliant processes.

You will work with FAIs, AS9102, and ERP/QMS systems, while upholding AS9100 and FAA requirements in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years aerospace quality inspection experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T symbols.
• Experience with precision measurement tools and inspection equipment.
• ERP/MRP and digital QMS experience.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of materials, parts, and assemblies.
• Use metrology tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and CMMs.
• Review and verify FAI per AS9102, material certifications, and test reports for traceability.
• Issue FAA Form 8130-3 in compliance with FAA regulations for airworthiness and documentation.
• Audit production against AS9100, FAA regs, and internal work instructions.
• Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials; participate in root cause analysis.
