Job summary

SQA Services, Inc. is seeking a Quality Mechanical Inspector for a 6-month, full-time contract at a supplier site in Enfield, CT. The role involves on-site visual, physical, and dimensional inspections of machined parts, with evidence-based NCR handling and strict adherence to drawing requirements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience performing mechanical and dimensional inspections.
• Working knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements.
• Experience reviewing Certificates of Conformance (CoCs) and other quality documentation.
• Working knowledge of GD&T and dimensional inspection methods.
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools and inspection equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
• Experience following inspection plans, procedures, and acceptance criteria.
• Ability to document inspection results and work within a Quality Management System (QMS).
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify non-conformances.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, physical, and dimensional inspections of machined parts at various stages.
• Inspect parts against drawings, specifications, and inspection plans to verify conformance.
• Prepare final inspection sign-off sheets and inspection packages.
• Identify and document non-conformances (NCRs) and submit findings for disposition.
• Review and validate justification for features not inspected during final inspection.
• Document and maintain inspection results within the QMS.
