Job summary

SQA Services is seeking an experienced Quality Mechanical Inspector to support a supplier site in Enfield, CT. This full-time, 6-month contract role entails traveling and potential relocation, with travel and lodging provided for approved candidates.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and dimensional inspections, GD&T proficiency, and ability to review CoCs and QA documentation. Relocation/travel support is available for the assignment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical and dimensional inspection experience.
• Familiar with AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements.
• Experience reviewing CoCs and quality documents.
• Able to read blueprints, drawings, specs, and tolerances.
• Proficient with precision measurement tools and equipment.
• Experience documenting inspections in a QMS.
• Strong attention to detail and NCR identification.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, physical, and dimensional inspections of machined parts at incoming, in-process, and final stages.
• Inspect parts against drawings, specs, and inspection plans to verify conformance.
• Inspect critical features and witness inspections as required.
• Ensure correct inspection methods and measurement equipment per drawings.
• Review and validate inspection plans and quality documentation.
• Compile final inspection sign-off sheets and packages.
• Identify and document non-conformances (NCRs) and submit findings for disposition.
• Document inspection results and maintain records in the QMS.
• Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions as needed.
