Job summary

HORST Engineering in East Hartford, CT, is seeking a Senior Inspector to perform dimensional inspections and record measurements of aerospace components, ensuring conformance to blueprints and customer specs.

The role emphasizes FAI/PPAP knowledge, interaction with Engineering, and verification of first piece conformance; in-office plant-based position with responsibilities across quality and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• AS degree in related engineering or technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Inspection.
• Familiar with GE Aviation, Raytheon Technologies, and other aerospace OEM customers.
• Understanding of FAI and PPAP reports; ECAV submissions.

Responsibilities

• Performs layout inspection on all levels of manufactured parts.
• Ensures parts meet blueprint, operation sheet, or other specification requirements.
• Interacts with all levels of associates regarding quality issues.
• Verifies rejections prior to submission to quality clinic.
• Liaises between Quality and Engineering to facilitate communication.
