Job summary

Ontic Engineering and Manufacturing Inc. in Creedmoor, NC seeks a Quality Inspector to join our onsite team.

You will report to the Quality Manager and ensure conformance of materials and finished goods to customer requirements, perform first article inspections, maintain traceability, and create technical documentation. Ideal candidates bring experience in aerospace quality control, AS9100/ISO standards, proficiency with CMMs, drawing interpretation, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace quality control and regulatory administration.
• Proficient in reading drawings and schematics.
• Familiar with AS9100/ISO quality management systems.

Responsibilities

• Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications per customer requirements; perform visual and measurement tests.
• Ensure PO requirements and traceability per company and customer requirements.
• Perform First Article Inspections and verify supplier first articles; maintain vendor files.
• Create and maintain paperwork and technical documentation.
• Containment of non-conforming material and coordinate with internal/external resources to resolve quality issues.
• Perform electrical and mechanical testing as required.
• Blueprint reading and precision inspection using calipers, micrometers, and inspection tools.
