Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace is seeking a first shift quality inspector in Manchester, CT. The role involves locating datums on castings and components, and performing mechanical and visual inspections using precision measuring tools to ensure conformance to specifications.

Qualified candidates have 2–4 years of related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and must be authorized to work in the U.S. ITAR/EAR compliance is required.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-4 years related experience in manufacturing inspection.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship.
• Subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Responsibilities

• Locate the datums and aging points on castings, forgings, and components.
• Inspect production parts and sub-assemblies to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Mark guidelines and reference points for material removal.
• Perform floor or machine inspection on vertical boring mills, radial drills, lasers, water jet, and lathes.
• Conduct bench inspection of machined rings, forgings, castings, sub-assemblies, and assemblies.
• Inspect welds visually and dimensionally prior to penetrant testing.
• Write rework procedures for non-conforming parts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
