Job summary

AST SpaceMobile is seeking a Quality Inspector II – Composites Integration to perform advanced in‑process and final inspections of aerospace composite structures and related hardware used in satellite manufacturing. This hands‑on role requires independent evaluation of nonconformances and ensuring products meet engineering, manufacturing and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has aerospace experience, GD&T proficiency, and a strong background in precision inspection methods.

Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of quality inspection experience in aerospace, composites, satellite integration or related high‑reliability industry.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T and manufacturing documentation.
Proficiency with precision measurement equipment and inspection techniques.
Experience inspecting composite and mechanical assemblies and supporting nonconformance reporting.

Responsibilities

Perform detailed in‑process inspections of composite structures, bonded assemblies, satellite hardware, and avionics components.
Verify compliance to drawings, models, specifications and work instructions.
Inspect layups, bonded joints, inserts, fasteners and assemblies for dimensional and visual conformance.
Conduct receiving, in‑process, First Article Inspection (FAI) and final acceptance inspections.
Maintain accurate inspection records and support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
