Job summary

AST SpaceMobile in Midland, TX is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector II – Composites Integration to inspect aerospace composite structures, bonded assemblies, and satellite hardware. This hands-on role requires independent evaluation of parts, adherence to drawings, specs and quality standards throughout integration.

You will work with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams, perform receiving and FAI inspections, use precision tools, and support root-cause investigations while

Qualifications

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications.
• Experience inspecting aerospace composites and assemblies.
• Knowledge of nonconformance reporting and corrective actions.
• Ability to work with precision measurement tools.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process inspections of composite structures, bonded assemblies, satellite hardware, and avionics components.
• Verify conformance to drawings, models, specs, and inspection plans.
• Document inspections and maintain quality records.
• Identify nonconformances and support CAPA activities.
• Ensure AS9100 compliance and ESD/FOD controls.
