Job summary

Prince Industries in Brattleboro, VT is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure product and process compliance with customer, company, and AS9100 standards. You will develop quality documentation, inspect parts, and support manufacturing to deliver conforming products.

The role emphasizes GD&T proficiency, technical writing, and continuous improvement under ISO/AS standards; standard shift follows 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in inspection, manufacturing, or GD&T application.
• High School Diploma or GED required; technical certifications preferred.
• GD&T certification is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with AS9100 and AS9102 standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain quality control documentation to meet AS9100, customer, and internal standards.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, applying GD&T principles (ASME Y14.5 or equivalent) to inspection and production planning.
• Balloon customer and internal drawings; create and maintain inspection plans and shop-floor documentation.
• Manage revision control for internal and external changes; update and distribute documentation accordingly.
• Prepare and submit First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) per AS9102 requirements; ensure complete and accurate records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with quality tasks across inspection, receiving, and other areas as needed.
• Maintain compliance with safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings with GD&T standards.
• Strong understanding of GD&T application in manufacturing and inspection processes.
• Technical writing and documentation accuracy.
• Organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
