Meyer Tool Inc. in Connecticut is seeking a Quality Inspector (Day Shift) to inspect production and prototype hardware using predetermined methods, setups, and specifications for in-process and final inspections. Cross training will be required in multiple inspection areas.

The role requires teamwork, the ability to interpret inspection results, and knowledge of precision measuring equipment. FAA testing is mandatory and pre-employment drug testing will be conducted.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; documentation required.
  • Ability to interpret inspection results and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of precision measuring equipment (micrometers, dial calipers, etc.).
  • Must meet ITAR US Person definition; documentation required.
  • Strong math background and ability to use MS Office to document results.
  • Experience with ISO9001, AS9100 or Nadcap quality systems is a plus.
  • 1-3 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections in accordance with technical documentation.
  • Inform supervisor or management when quality concerns arise.
  • Assist with audits and compliance projects.
  • Cross train in other inspection areas.
  • Adhere to AS9100 and other quality standards.
