Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Quality Inspector in Irvine, CA to perform detailed inspections of electronic assemblies and components in a highly regulated aerospace environment. You will verify conformance to AS9100, ISO 9001, and MIL-STD, document results, and support nonconformance investigations.

You will review CMM reports, use test equipment, and collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production to drive improvements. This role is on-site, with 1st shift 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• 35+ years of quality experience in DoD or aerospace environments.
• Experience with all stages of inspection (FAI, receiving, in-process, final).
• AS9100, ISO 9001, MIL-STD requirements knowledge.
• Proficient in NCRs and quality documentation processes.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience inspecting electrical & electronic assemblies, including SMT.
• Familiarity with J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620 standards.
• Experience with NASA workmanship standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials and assemblies.
• Verify conformance to drawings, specs, and industry standards.
• Document inspection results and quality records accurately.
• Review CMM inspection reports for dimensional compliance.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, multimeters, and scopes for validation.
• Identify defects, initiate NCRs, and coordinate disposition.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
• Assist with internal and external audits as required.
• Maintain traceability through certifications, travelers, and docs.
