Job summary

Iris Technology Corporation in Irvine, CA is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure products meet DoD and aerospace specifications through detailed inspections and documentation. You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and the quality manager to resolve issues and maintain compliance.

The role requires inspecting incoming, in-process, and final products, using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs, and reporting nonconformities. Exempt, full-time position with competitive salary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; CQI preferred.
• 1-5 years in quality inspection, ideally in regulated manufacturing.
• Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, MIL-STD.
• DoD contracts experience a plus, CUI handling knowledge is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to verify DoD/aerospace compliance.
• Document inspection results and nonconformities per internal procedures.
• Ensure adherence to AS9100, ISO 9001, MIL-STD and related standards.
• Operate and maintain precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMMs).
• Identify defects, complete NCRs, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and QA to drive process improvements.
• Assist in internal and external audits and maintain proper documentation.
