Job summary

D-J Engineering, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector for 2nd shift to perform benchtop and tabletop dimensional inspection of aerospace components.

You will verify conformance to customer blueprints and engineering specs using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and check fixtures, while maintaining AS9100 records and documentation for traceability. Shift: 2nd Shift (Mon-Thu, 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM).

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of bench/tabletop inspection experience in aerospace/manufacturing.
• Proficient with standard shop floor measuring instruments.
• Experience using check fixtures and PCMs for dimensional verification.
• Ability to read aerospace drawings and GD&T callouts.
• Monday–Friday availability 4:00 PM–12:30 AM, with overtime when needed.
• Strong attention to detail and meticulous documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform tabletop and bench inspections on aerospace components.
• Set up and use micrometers, calipers, height gauges, depth gauges, indicators.
• Inspect parts with fixtures and PCMs and document findings.
• Interpret drawings and GD&T to determine part conformance.
• Identify non-conforming materials and maintain records per AS9100.
