Job summary

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a Quality Control Inspector in Clearwater, FL to inspect coatings, test thickness, and perform NDT in a fast-growing aerospace finishing environment.

The role requires 2+ years in aerospace QC, reading drawings, and precise measurement with calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other tools. A four-day workweek with shifts 5:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. may include weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in aerospace or metal finishing QC.
• Experience with coating thickness testing and NDT.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Process-driven with accountability.
• Committed to aerospace-level quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and mechanical inspections per customer and aerospace specs.
• Conduct coating thickness testing using measurement equipment.
• Perform stability testing and document results.
• Conduct NDT including X-ray and Eddy-current inspections.
• Use micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and pin gauges.
• Read and interpret orders, blueprints, drawings and inspection plans.
• Identify nonconforming parts and report findings.
• Calibrate inspection equipment and maintain calibration database.
• Stage and document monthly and periodic testing requirements.
