Job summary

Sonaca North America in Fredonia, KS is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform inspection of assembled parts and document compliance to the Sonaca North America Quality System under supervision. You will read customer drawings, blueprints and setup sheets, operate the CMM, and exchange data through CAD/CAM and SPC systems, supporting continuous improvement and teamwork on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; pre-employment assessment if lacking.
• Able to read and understand English; read drawings, mylars and sketches.
• Develop knowledge of internal procedures and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Start up and operate the CMM following safety procedures.
• Read setup sheets and set up jobs per instructions.
• Read CMM part programs and make minor adjustments as needed.
• Complete data exchange through CAD/CAM and SPC systems.
• Follow and adjust production schedules as required.
• Collaborate with CAD/CAM, quality and production personnel to resolve issues.
• Perform routine maintenance on the CMM and support team projects.
