Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking an experienced quality inspector responsible for receiving, in-process and final inspection of vendor-supplied and in-house components. You will document inspections, perform AS9102 first article inspections and ensure conformance to customer requirements.

The role requires 5+ years of inspection experience, proficiency in MS Word/Excel, and knowledge of AS9100/ISO-9001 standards. A hands-on, team-oriented individual is essential for success in a lean manufacturing

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years of successful receiving and inspection experience.
• Fluent English
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; Internet Explorer.
• Knowledge of AS9100/ISO-9001 quality systems and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspection in receiving, in-process and final inspection to ensure products meet customer requirements.
• Perform AS9102 first article inspection and other inspections per specifications and drawings.
• Document all inspections per Ametek procedures.
• Ensure raw materials meet specifications and conduct tests at various production stages.
• Use handheld inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, gauge blocks) for measurements.
• Witness testing to verify parameters; create rejection reports for nonconforming products.
• Follow AS9100/ISO-9001 quality systems; maintain blueprints and GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• Report potentially unsafe conditions; follow safety procedures; interact with Quality Engineering and Management.
• Demonstrate effective teamwork, communication and problem-solving in a lean manufacturing environment.
