Job summary

Barnes Aerospace in Connecticut is seeking a qualified Inspector for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:30pm–12:00am) with a 15% differential. You will perform final inspection of aerospace engine parts using gauges, micrometers, borescopes and CMMs (PC-DMIS/MODUS desirable).

Responsibilities include measuring features, interpreting blueprints and specs, ensuring parts meet customer criteria, and documenting any rework.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of inspection experience in aerospace/manufacturing preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints and customer specifications.
• Knowledge of geometric tolerancing and measuring tools.
• Proficiency with CMMs (PC-DMIS/MODUS) highly desirable.
• Background in turbine engine inspection is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Final inspection of finished aerospace engine parts and components.
• Measure features and holes to determine conformance to customer requirements.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspection using appropriate gaging equipment.
• Interpret operation sheets and blueprints to meet customer criteria.
• Ensure all parts meet criteria for acceptance; document any rework.
