Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Production Worker focused on quality inspection in West Des Moines, IA. The role supports aviation manufacturing by performing detailed inspections, interpreting blueprints, and using CMM and precision tools to ensure conformance with specifications.

You will document results in SAP, follow procedures, and collaborate with operations and engineering to meet production goals. This 12-month contract shift is 2nd shift with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Experience in manufacturing, production, quality, or inspection environment is a plus.
• Basic computer skills and accurate documentation of inspection results.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate CMM programs to support inspections (incoming, in-process, FAIR, IOS, final).
• Inspect materials and assemblies against drawings and specs for compliance.
• Interpret blueprints and technical data to determine inspection needs.
• Verify part conformity using CMM, Keyence, and Optical Comparator tools.
• Review routers and production docs for accuracy.
• Enter inspection data into SAP and generate records.
• Support continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
